The word, "doula," comes from the Greek word for the most important female slave or servant in an ancient Greek household, the woman who probably helped the lady of the house through her childbearing. The word has come to refer to "a woman experienced in childbirth who provides continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to the mother before, during and just after childbirth."

*We are doulas serving the Orange County, CA area!

*Dream Deliveries makes available an educated, experienced, familiar and trusted woman at the side of the childbearing woman/couple throughout pregnancy, continuing through the duration of her labor and into the early postpartum period as the transition into parenthood takes place. We  lovingly mentor and educate you through pregnancy, encourage and support you during labor and birth, and assist you with breastfeeding during the postpartum period.

*We help you find a specific vision for your birth experience and work in conjunction with your medical care provider to make this dream a reality. We believe that every woman deserves to be in control of her own birth. Your vision for your birth is our vision. Hiring a doula/ labor support to advocate for your desires drastically increases the chance that you will feel satisfied with your birth experience!

*Nurses, Doctors and Midwives offer incredible medical care but cannot always give a pregnant or laboring woman the amount of time, education and emotional support she needs. Often, women feel like "another uterus on the assembly line." We offer the empathetic, compassionate and educational support that is currently lacking in

 obstetrics.

*We believe in limiting unnecessary medical interventions but, represent an educated voice when interventions are necessary to ensure the safety of you and your baby! We believe in helping couples enter in to parenthood with confidence by helping to create the most empowering birth environment possible through education and encouragement.
